BetMGM Poker To Run Double Trouble Series From Jan 21

BetMGM Poker: Double Trouble SeriesSummary

  • Double Trouble is BetMGM Poker’s first online tournament series of 2022
  • The schedule features 40 separate events starting Jan 21
  • Over $300,000 up for grabs in each market

BetMGM Poker‘s first online poker series of the year is just around the corner! The Double Trouble Series will run from January 21-30 across the operator’s three US markets: New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Michigan.

The upcoming festival is BetMGM Poker’s fourth series in two months and offers more than $300,000 in guarantees.

Double Trouble Series – Key Details

The festival features 20 tournaments which come in two versions, bringing the total to 40 individual events for each state. Players in all three jurisdictions will enjoy an exactly similar schedule, though there are small differences in the amount of guarantees up for grabs.

New Jersey owns the largest chunk of the prize, guaranteeing $364,000 throughout the festival. That figure is slightly reduced in Michigan and Pennsylvania, with $334,000 and $324,000 on offer respectively in each state. This comes as no surprise with BetMGM Poker only launching in both markets just last year.

Schedule Highlights

The festival kicks off with the $109 NLH tournaments, with players in each state competing for $10K in guarantees. The other events to watch out for include the $215 tournaments which offer $30K in guarantees in New Jersey, and $25K in both Michigan and Pennsylvania.

The schedule does not include an official Main Event, but the $215 tournaments scheduled for January 30 are among the main highlights of the series. Again, there’s $30K on offer for NJ players, with $25K up for grabs in MI and PA.

Those with larger bankrolls can take a shot at Event #9, a couple of tournaments featuring a $535 buy-in, the biggest in the series. Each tournament comes with a guarantee of $15,000 across all three states.

Four Online Festivals in Two Months

Double Trouble marks the fourth online poker festival that BetMGM Poker has run in two months, and is a testament to the operator’s continued commitment to providing great-value tournaments to its players.

Back in November, the operator hosted the End Boss series fronted by Darren Elias. It was followed by the Cheap Stakes series which took place over the Christmas period featuring smaller buy-ins. BetMGM Poker then ended the year with the New Year Knockout Mini-Series which also ran across NJ, MI, and PA.
